School bathrooms get a makeover

16 May 2019

The Intermediate Phase and Senior Phase bathrooms at Koue Bokkeveld Primary School recently got a facelift. The Foundation Phase bathrooms were refurbished two years ago and are still in good condition.

During the annual Enduro, the school’s sports grounds are used to accommodate campers.

To ensure that the facilities are satisfactory, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) organises regular fund raising throughout the year.

This year, Paul Prins of Bathrooms 4 U in Stellenbosch, an alumnus, donated tiles for the showers.

Rolien Viljoen, a teacher at the school, says Koue Bokkeveld Primary School is a values driven school and wants to establish responsibility, caring, honesty, respect and excellence with the learners. “The care of property is extremely important to us and to all our learners. We would like to thank the PTA for funding projects like this. We also want to thank Jeanette van der Merwe for painting the bathrooms.”
