Schools take part in Mini Netball World Cup

Excitement is mounting for the Netball World Cup in Cape Town later this year and school teams are getting into the spirit by taking part in Mini Netball World Cup events across the province.
The tournament culminated in Mini Netball World Cup finals for Under 13 and Under 15 teams in in Hawston, Hermanus on 25 March 2023.
Gene Louw Primary School won gold in the Under 13 finals with Brackenfell Primary School and Umqhomphiso Primary School in second and third position.
Durbanville High School’s Under 15 team will represent Western Cape Schools Netball (WCSN) at the South African Championship on 29 April 2023 in Boksburg after defeating Stellenberg High School in the final. DF Malan High School won bronze.
WCSN thanked each school principal, netball player, coach, umpire, manager and family for their support towards the talented players and for spending the day with them.
