WCED stands united against Gender-based Violence

WCED staff supported the call by the Western Cape Government for provincial departments to form a human chain in support and solidarity against Gender-Based Violence.

The 16 days of activism for no violence against women and children campaign is held annually from 25 November to 10 December.

This year marks the 25th anniversary since South Africa initiated the drive to raise awareness of the devastating impact that gender-based violence and femicide has on women and children and the social fabric of our society.

On Tuesday, 05 December 2023, WCED staff came out in their numbers to form a human chain around the Head Office building.
