Teacher graduates from Centre for Space Science

Memory Dizha, a teacher at Manzomthombo Secondary School in Mfuleni, has graduated from the African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in English (ARCSSTE-E).
Dizha received a scholarship from the United Nations to study towards a Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) at ARCSSTE-E. The Centre is located at the Obafemi Awolowo University campus in Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
She excelled at her studies and was presented with a Space4Women Award for the best graduating female student. Dizha also received an award for the best research project.
Dizha presented her research on spatial and temporal analysis patterns in academic performance in the National Senior Certificate examinations in the Western Cape at the 61st Annual Conference of the Association of Nigerian Geographers held from 1 to 5 August 2021 at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria.
She expressed appreciation for the support from the principal and staff of Manzomthombo Secondary School. She was also grateful for the support from the Western Cape Education Department for approving her study leave and the South African Council for Educators (SACE) for contributing to the study.
