Sunningdale Primary School’s principal wins national award

During the triennial National Congress of the SAOU on 22 and 23 June 2023, the South African Teachers’ Union honoured schools and members for their exceptional contribution to education in various fields.
Estelle de Wit, Principal of Sunningdale Primary School, was named the SAOU national winner in the category Excellence in Educational Leadership: Primary Schools.
The SAOU congratulated the winners on this exceptional achievement and said their contribution to quality education is noticed and appreciated.
De Wit was appointed as Sunningdale Primary School’s first principal in January 2013.
The news about her award was greeted with the following comment from her colleagues: “Well, now the entire country knows what we all knew all along. We have THE best principal in the country. Congratulations Mrs de Wit. Thank you for your massive contribution to our school and to education in general.”
