Protea Heights Academy’s archers on target in provincial competition

The annual Western Cape Provincial Archery Competition was held this past weekend at Mistico Equestrian Centre outside Paarl.

A very big congratulation to Protea Heights Academy, who won School Team of the Year as well as, winning the 3D competition. Furthermore, the school’s archers were selected into various teams to compete at the national competition during the September school holidays.

The following learners were amongst the top three archers per grade:
Boys Grade 9: Jacob Herbst (2nd), Mauritz Acker (3rd)
Girls Grade 9: Christina Pienaar (3rd)
Boys Grade 10: Juandre De Bruin (3rd)
Girls Grade 10: Abigail Thomas (2nd), Renee Bleeker (3rd)
Boys Grade 11: Kyle Paxton (1st), Hanno Immelman (3rd)
Girls Grade 11: Skye Renolds (1st)

Combined Scores winners for the day: JH Boys: Kyle Paxton (3rd)

Top Winners for the year: JH Girls: Renee Bleeker (3rd),JH Boys: Kyle Paxton (2nd)

Rising Stars in various categories:
