Global online conference to discuss education post COVID-19

28 May 2020

What will the “new normal” look like post COVID-19 for teachers?

Educators from around the world will be taking part in a free online global conference on 30 May 2020 to help answer this question.

Western Cape Head of Education, Brian Schreuder, said the WCED was proud to partner with the conference which placed the teacher at the heart of the conversation – and the solutions. This is the first international virtual conference of its kind and it is expected to be the largest eduWebinar ever with tens of thousands of teachers taking part.

Varkey Foundation CEO, Vikas Pota, said no education system or policy could have quite imagined the effects of a global pandemic and the recent COVID-19 crisis on teachers, families and students.

“As we continue to navigate this period (at different stages around the world) and start to think about the “new normal”, it is imperative that education is seen as an essential expertise. T4 is a unique opportunity for the world’s teachers to come together online and learn - with each other.”
T4 will bring together teachers from around the world for this unique virtual event to share their stories and experiences. Discussions will focus on well-being, leadership, technology and collaboration.
