Gene Louw in top 15 of national creative writing competition

Gene Louw Primary School entered the Beeld Kreatiewe Skryfkompetisie and fared brilliantly.

On the back of 12 excellent learner entries, Gene Louw was selected as one of the top 15 schools in the country for this competition.

About 1000 learners from across the country participated in the competition. Primary and high school learners could enter narrative, descriptive, argumentative or speculative essays in categories for Afrikaans Home Language and Afrikaans First Additional Language. The entries had to be written between January and August 2021.

Anke Hinze was Gene Louw’s top achiever.
