2022 Service Excellence Awards – Call for entries

The Western Cape Government (WCG) Service Excellence Awards (SEAs) present an opportunity for schools to showcase their talent.
The WCG hosts the SEAs annually to recognise and reward excellence in the public sector, promote a citizen-centric culture and entrench professionalism. The awards also promote sharing of best practices, learning and gauging citizens’ satisfaction with government performance.
The closing date for entries is 31 October 2022.
Head of Education, Brent Walters, appealed to schools to submit entries saying that we have many school teams and individuals who deserve to be recognised. Last year, several schools were nominated, with three schools winning bronze or silver in their selected categories.
The 2022 WCG SEAs apply to the period 01 October 2020 to 31 March 2022.
The event has broadened its horizons by including categories which acknowledge service delivery excellence by citizens and municipalities. There are 12 categories for entries from individuals, teams, citizens and municipalities – more detail on the different categories can be found in each entry form.
