Bloubergrant High School makes learners’ dreams a reality
12 September 2019
Bloubergrant High School embraces the Western Cape Education Department’s (WCED) vision by “providing quality education to every learner in academics, sport, or culture in every class, in every period and every day.”
So said the school’s proud principal Malcolm Pedro when listing the school’s achievements during the third term.
Bloubergrant High won the Eskom High Schools Debating competition for the third year in a row.
A team from the school will also represent the Western Cape in Gauteng after winning the Provincial History Heritage Competition.
The school’s sporting achievements include winning the U19 Boys soccer league and the Plate final in Table Tennis. Two of the school’s learners are also excelling in sport.
Lutho Mkaba, a Grade 9 learner, has been offered a contract by Cape Town City FC and Shaydin Palm in Grade 8 is ranked fourth in South Africa in Judo.
It is therefore no surprise that the school uses the hashtag #LetsMakeTheirDreamAReality!
Congratulations to the school and learners for these achievements.
