The writing of the Adult Education and Training (AET) Level 3 provincial common examination was promulgated by the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr BE Nzimande, on 11 April 2013 in Government Notice No. 36463, Regulations on the Assessment Process and Procedures for Adult Education and Training (AET) Qualification at NQF Level 1 of 2013. |

This minute serves to confirm the dates for the writing of the 2014 AET Level 3 Common Examination from 4 to 6 November 2014 as indicated on the attached timetable.

These dates are also reflected in the AET Provincial Calendar of 2014. |

AET Centres are urged to adhere to the prescribed dates. |
| 5. |
As this is a provincial examination, monitoring will be undertaken by both provincial and district officials. |

Marking and internal moderation of the common examination will be conducted at centre level under the supervision of the centre management team, i.e. Centre Manager and Site Co-ordinator and should be completed by 13 November 2014. |

The capturing of the moderated marks of the four (4) Site-Based Assessment Tasks as well as of the common examination must be completed by 20 November 2014. |

Education district officials and centre managers are kindly requested to bring the contents of this minute to the attention of educators and learners. |
