2. 3. Ukuba isikolo sifuna ukubonelela nge-OBE esebenza ngempumelelo, kwaye sinenjongo yokuseka indawo yokufundisela enezibonelelo ezisemgangathweni, ekukho kuyo ukufunda nokufundisa okusemgangathweni, kufuneka siqinisekise ukubakho kwezibonelelo zaselayibrari ezifanelekileyo eziziintlobo ngeentlobo (print, analogue, digital, including online access) ukuze zisetyenziswe ngabafundi nangootitshala.
4. Ngo1999 i-International Association of School Libriarianship (IASL), yabhengeza uMvulo wesine ku-Oktobha njengoSuku lonyaka lweLayibrari yeSikolo lwaMazwe ngaMazwe (International School Library Day (ISLD)). Ukususela ngoko olu suku luye lubhiyozelwe kumazwe amaninzi ngeendlela ezahlukeneyo. Kulo nyaka olu suku lubhiyozelwa ngoMvulo we-22 Oktobha, kwaye umxholo walo nyaka uthi "Ukufunda: Okuqhutywa ngamandla yiLayibrari yeSikolo sakho" ("Learning: Powered by your School Library".)
5. Ngako oko ke olu suku lwe-ISLD maluthathwe njengosuku lokuqaphela ukubaluleka kwendima edlalwa ziilayibrari nokubaluleka kwazo ekufundeni kubomi bonke bomntu (lifelong learning), o.k.t. ukubonelela ngeencwadi nezincedisi zokuxhasa ukufunda nokufundisa zabafundi nootitshala (LTSM) ezibaluleke kakhulu kwinkqubo yemfundo iphela. Uphando lwamazwe ngamazwe lubonise ukuba abafundi baphumelela kwinqanaba eliphezulu kwaye baba ngabafundi abanolwazi xa besebenzisa ilayibrari yesikolo eneencwadi nezinye izibonelelo ezisemgangathweni, kubandakanywa neencwadi abafundi abathanda ukuzifunda kunye neeprogram zokuxhasa ngamandla ulwazi lokufunda nokubhala.
6. Ezinye zezizathu zokuba izikolo zibhiyozele olu suku lwelayibrari yesikolo lwamazwe ngamazwe:
  • Ukukhumbuza oonolayibrari bezikolo kwihlabathi jikelele ngokubaluleka kwezinto ezinokwenziwa ziilayibrari kunye nezo zizenzayo ngokunxulumene nophuhliso lwesizwe
  • Ukuqaqambisa indima edlalwa ziilayibrari zezikolo kwimfundo yomfundi ukususela kwisikolo sabalungiselelwa ukuqala ukufunda (pre-school) ukuya kutsho kwi-FET
  • Ukwabelana ngezimvo, amalinge neenkqubo ezintsha ukuze abo bathatha inxaxheba kwiilayibrari zezikolo, kubandakanywa noootitshala kuzo zonke iinkalo zezifundo, bakwazi ukufunda omnye komnye
  • Ukuqaphela igalelo elenziwa ngoonolayibrari koogxa babo nakubahlali.
