| EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT LEARNERSHIPS |

The WCED is offering early childhood development (ECD) learnerships to Grade R teachers employed at institutions registered with the WCED. The following conditions apply:
- All tuition costs will be covered by the WCED.
- Teachers must be employed in a Grade R class.
- Training will take place in the afternoons and during school holidays, over a period of 18 months.
- At the end of the training course, participants will be accredited with a certificate of competence endorsed by the ETDP SETA.
- NQF Level 4 is available for all teachers who have not had accredited ECD training.
- NQF Level 5 is available for teachers with an accredited Level 4 certificate or a matric certificate.

Teacher applicants must complete the attached application form and send it to the ECD or Foundation Phase curriculum adviser at their EMDC.

The closing date for applications is 28 April 2007.
