The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) realises the importance of providing its employees with the necessary guidance and support for adopting a healthy lifestyle. To this end, the WCED has introduced the Employee Health and Wellness Programme to provide employees with assistance when they have to deal with life's challenges and crises. The programme emphasises the need to be proactive in order to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

The WCED has arranged a Health and Wellness Day in the South Cape and Karoo district which will take place from 12:00 to 16:00 on 4th October 2007. The Health and Wellness Day will take place at Die Bult Jeugsentrum, Langenhoven Road, George. Die Bult Jeugsentrum can be contacted on 044 801 7600 for directions.
