1. A copy of the PMDS calendar for the 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 cycles is to be distributed to all managers, supervisors and office-based educators.
2. Managers and supervisors are reminded to give all permanent, seconded and temporary office-based educators timeous notification of the annual performance appraisals and to set aside time for these appraisals in March.
3. The second level of moderation, in which managers and supervisors should discuss the preliminary scores, must take place by 31 March 2007. The approved Guidelines for Moderation will reach you soon.
4. Managers and supervisors are also reminded that, for the cycle ending 31 March 2007, the Work Plan and Capabilities will each be scored out of 50 to allow for differentiation.
5. It should be noted that a high score cannot be awarded for the Capabilities if the targets in the Work Plan have not been achieved.
6. A total of 50% is required in order to qualify for the 1% pay progression. This will align the scores of office-based educators with those of teachers at schools.
7. The submission of scores for the 2006/2007 cycle should reach the Directorate: Quality Assurance by 11 May 2007. The score-sheets template will be sent to all managers by the end of March.
8. Kindly bring this minute to the attention of relevant staff.
