| INTEGRATED QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (IQMS) ADVOCACY MATERIAL |

The Directorate: Quality Assurance is responsible for implementing the IQMS in the province. The advocacy strategy of this Directorate is aimed at regularly bringing IQMS processes to the attention of teachers and administrators.

To enhance understanding of the different IQMS processes, the Directorate has designed material to create an awareness of the IQMS in schools, and to assist with its implementation.

The following advocacy material is being posted to schools in a postal tube:

A poster promoting whole-school evaluation
|
| (b) |
A performance-indicator book for use by teachers
|
| (c) |
Copies for each teacher of the 2007 IQMS teacher's calendar
|
| (d) |
An administrative booklet to assist the school management team with their administrative duties
|
| (e) |
A chart on the 9 Focus Areas (A colour poster will be sent later in the year.)
|

| 4. |
On receipt of a slip from the Post Office, please arrange for the postal tube to be collected. |
