| ISSUING OF VACANCY LIST 2/2007: INSTITUTION-BASED EDUCATOR POSTS |

The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) is committed to filling vacant educator posts permanently, as this will contribute significantly to stability in the education profession.

It has therefore been decided to change the date when institutions can access the electronic vacancy list on the website to 27 June 2007. This will enable schools to include new vacancies resulting from appointments made to posts advertised in Vacancy List 1/2007.

The new closing date necessitates a revision of all the dates given in DPE Minute 0006/2006 of 4 December 2006. The following table provides the revised dates relevant to the advertising of vacant funded posts in Vacancy List 2/2007:
