Purpose:
To plan, manage and coordinate specialised education support services and inclusive education.

Functions:
  1. Manage the planning, coordination and evaluation of the institution management and governance in respect of ELSEN schools.
  2. Provide professional support services.
  3. Develop policy, guidelines and coordinate the implementation of HIV operations.
  4. Develop policy, guidelines and coordinate the implementation of NSNP operations.
Elsen Schools / Resource Centres
Purpose:
To manage the planning, coordination and evaluation of the institution management and governance in respect of ELSEN schools.
Functions
  1. Develop policy for ELSEN.
  2. Plan and coordinate capacity building regarding ELSEN.
  3. Control ELSEN movement.
  4. Develop and maintain inter-sectoral networks for collaboration on ELSEN capacity building and service delivery.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the management and governance of ELSEN schools.
Professional Services
Purpose:
To provide professional support services.
Functions:
  1. Manage the planning and coordination of psychological services.
  2. Manage the planning and coordination of school social work services.
  3. Manage the planning and coordination of therapeutic services.
  4. Manage the planning and coordination of health promotion and medical services.
HIV
Purpose:
To develop policy, guidelines and coordinate the implementation of HIV operations.
Functions:
  1. Develop provincial policy for the implementation of HIV operations.
  2. Develop guidelines and monitor the implementation of HIV operations.
  3. Coordinate HIV operations provincially.
  4. Perform the liaison role between district, province and national re HIV issues.
NSNP
Purpose:
To develop policy, guidelines and coordinate the implementation of NSNP operations.
Functions:
  1. Develop provincial policy for the implementation of NSNP operations.
  2. Develop guidelines and monitor the implementation of NSNP operations.
  3. Coordinate NSNP operations provincially.
  4. Perform the liaison role between district, province and national re NSNP issues.
