WC comes out tops in SA Rugby Craven Week

8 August 2019

Recently, the U18 Western Province Craven Week team travelled to Grey College in Bloemfontein to compete at SA Rugby Craven Week.

The team, coached by Camps Bay High School’s Head of Sport, Mzi Nyathi, came home as tournament champions!

There have been several SA Rugby Youth Week events around the country and the Western Cape teams proved to be a force to be reckoned with.

Both the Western Cape Craven Week and Academy Week teams finished unbeaten in Bloemfontein while the U16 Grant Khomo Week team from our Province also finished top and the U13 Craven Week team lost just one game.

The girls U16 and U18 teams also finished without losing a single game and there was similar success for the U18 LSEN (Learners with Special Educational Needs) side.

Congratulations to all the learners and their coaches who participated in these events! It is an achievement just being there, and an even bigger accomplishment when performing so well against some very talented teams!

You have all done this Province Proud!
