Metro Central reaches out to parents

The Metro Central Social Work team has identified investing into the parents of learners as one of their focus areas for this year.

The team invited parents of learners from schools in Manenberg and Gugulethu to two separate conferences on domestic violence recently.

Guest speakers from community organisations that provide support to children and families were invited and interacted with the parents.

“This intervention was a highlight for our team as the engagement the parents had with us and the other stakeholders was of so much value,” the Metro Central School Social Work Team said.
