MCED’s 5th Annual ICT Conference

3 October 2019

The Metro Central Education District (MCED) hosted its 5th Annual ICT Conference at the Cape Teaching and Leadership Institute in Kuils River on Saturday, 21 September 2019. The theme of the conference was “The Classroom and Beyond”, with an emphasis on the four C’s of Change.

The keynote speaker, thirteen-year-old Amr Salie, wowed the audience with his accomplishments as a published author with a keen interest in coding and gaming.

There was a deliberate trend to engage the attendees in all sessions, which accommodated different levels of technology to be found at different institutions. The emphasis was on integration and pedagogy, mostly presented by teachers, for teachers.
