Clicks gives helping hand to Gansbaai Primary School

12 August 2021

Learners at Gansbaai Primary School received masks and a bottle of hand sanitiser each from the Clicks Helping Hands Trust.

Gansbaai Primary is a no-fee school and many parents and guardians are seasonal workers employed in the fishing industry.

Learners are affectionately referred to as “Pilchies” and the school promotes good hand hygiene in all their communication with the slogan “Good hygiene is in our hands”.

The Acting Principal, Neil Pedro, said the school was grateful for the donation from the Clicks Helping Hand Trust Clicks as part of its COVID-19 Relief campaign.

“Many of the learners do not have their own masks and sanitizers at home. While we follow all Covid-19 safety and health protocols at school, we are now reassured that learners will be able to protect themselves while at home.”

The trust has been assisting non-profit organisations and schools serving vulnerable communities.
