• Not yet achieved NSC pass or wish to improve results

  NSC candidates who wrote the National Senior Certificate (NSC) November examination in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017, have valid school based assessment (SBA / year) marks and therefore qualify to enter for the NSC October/November 2018 examination as repeat candidates, in order to achieve an NSC pass or to improve their current pass status.

• New subjects offered:

  Candidates opting to register new subjects not offered in their previous NSC sitting must register with an accredited institution (public or independent school) to complete the SBA component. The candidate must submit a letter issued by the institution that will be providing the tuition and assessment for this new subject along with their application form.

• Expired SBA / year marks:

  The SBA marks of candidates who wrote the NSC 2008 - 2012 and 2014 examinations have expired.
  These candidates can enter for the Senior Certificate (SC) examinations which are written in June annually. Applications for the SC June 2019 examination, opens on 1 October 2018.

  Candidates with expired year marks, who wish to enter for the NSC November 2018 examination must register with an accredited institution (public or independent school) to re-do the SBA component. The candidate must submit a letter issued by the institution that will be providing the tuition and assessment for this subject along with their application form.

Registration for repeater candidates takes place from 15 February to 15 March of the year in which the examinations are written.

1. Copy of ID
2. Copy of NSC results
3. Proof of postal address (to confirm correctness of the postal address).
