Outcome of the appeal of Mr Brian Isaacs. Statement by Minister Debbie Schäfer, Minister of Education In June this year I received an appeal from Mr Brian Isaacs, principal of South Peninsula High School, following the outcome of his disciplinary hearing. An Independent Presiding Officer found Mr Isaacs guilty on various charges of misconduct. Due to the nature of the misconduct, the presiding officer found that Mr Isaacs should be dismissed from his post. This appeal only relates to the first of two disciplinary hearings. There is a further matter in which Mr Isaacs was found guilty of serious charges, by a different Independent Presiding Officer. The finding in that matter was also that Mr Isaacs be dismissed from his post. He has also appealed that finding and the process of considering that appeal is still underway. In view of the ongoing public interest that has been generated by this matter, I am hereby releasing my finding in regard hereto (case no: 50288598). | |
