The Department of Basic Education (DBE) issued Circular E19 of 2018 (attached), pertaining to the prescribed literature texts for study for all official languages at Home, First and Second Additional levels for the Senior Certificate (SC) examinations to be written in May/June 2019. |

The Grade 12 literature question papers for all official languages for the June 2019 SC examinations will be based only on the new literature, as listed in the attached DBE Circular E19 of 2018 - Annexure A to Annexure F. |

Annexure A to Annexure F, lists the prescribed literature for the different genres for Home Languages (HL), First Additional Languages (FALs) and Second Additional Languages (SALs) for the May/June 2019 SC examinations. |
