The Department of Basic Education has issued Circular S3 of 2017 regarding the errata for Afrikaans Home Language and First Additional Language Grade 12 poetry anthologies. |

In preparation for the implementation of the prescribed poems in 2017, subject advisers and teachers identified errors and omissions in the Grade 12 Afrikaans Home Language poetry anthology, i.e. Verse in my inboks (Vivlia Publishers), and the Grade 12 Afrikaans First Additional Language poetry anthology, i.e. Verskuns vir Eerste Addisionele Taal (Macmillan Publishers). |

The omissions were brought to the attention of the publishers who have since distributed the lists of errata to all the schools that purchased these anthologies. |

The attention of all Afrikaans subject advisers and Grade 12 Afrikaans Home Language and First Additional Language teachers in the Western Cape is drawn to the attached errata lists: Appendix 1 (Verse in my inboks — Vivlia Publishers) and Appendix 2 (Verskuns vir Eerste Addisionele Taal — MacMillan Publishers). |

The appendices are also available on the Western Cape Education Department’s Curriculum Development website at http://www.wcedcurriculum.westerncape.gov.za. Go to "FET: Further Education and Training", then "Languages" and click on "Afrikaans". Click on "Aflaailêers" on the left and click on "Onderwysbronne".
