In support of the Western Cape Education Department's (WCED) strategic objectives and in line with the Department’s endeavour to ensure improved recruitment and selection processes, a management decision was taken to remove attachments (covering letter and two testimonials) from the online application system when educators apply for advertised posts. |

Governing bodies and/or interview committees are requested to apply a competency-based approach during the recruitment and selection processes to ensure that only the best candidates are shortlisted and appointed based on their competencies. |

Shortlisted candidates must be requested to submit certified copies of the documentation to the governing body/interview committee when invited for an interview. |
