The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) will issue one Vacancy Bulletin in 2016 for institution-based public service staff. This Vacancy Bulletin will consist of promotion posts only. |

The publication date of the Vacancy Bulletin and other important dates are contained in the attached annexure. |
| 3. |
Entry-level posts will be filled through the conversion of temporary staff to permanent appointments, the roll-out of which will be communicated separately. |
| 4. |
All vacant institution-based public service promotion posts must be advertised in this Vacancy Bulletin. |
| 5. |
All vacant/substantive posts in the categories listed on the annexure will be drawn from the staff establishment of institutions within the WCED for publication. Institutions therefore do not have to submit requests for advertising to the Directorate: Recruitment and Selection. |

The Vacancy Bulletin will be circulated by the WCED’s Registry and will be available at the Walk-in Centre of the WCED Head Office or on the WCED website at http://wced.school.za Click on "Vacancies" on the website’s home page. |
