ANNEXURE TO THE PROGRAMME OF ASSESSMENT APPEARING IN THE PRINTED AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES CURRICULUM AND ASSESSMENT POLICY STATEMENT (CAPS) DOCUMENTS


1. In order to assist teachers and learners to prepare for the programme of formal assessment for the Grade 12 Agricultural Sciences, Circular S14 of 2014 was issued by the national Department of Basic Education.
2. The tables in the attached Annexure A (available only in English and Afrikaans) provide clarity on the programme of formal assessment for Agricultural Sciences in the CAPS for Grade 12.
3. The content of this curriculum minute should be read in conjunction with the Agricultural Sciences CAPS, issued by the Department of Basic Education in January 2012.
4. Principals are requested to bring the content of this minute to the attention of all Grade 12 Agricultural Sciences subject heads and teachers.
