The Head of Education has granted approval that a study by the Human Science Research Council (HSRC) regarding the prevalence of HIV/AIDS among teachers, administrative and support staff may be conducted in selected primary and secondary schools. This study forms part of a National Survey involving all nine provinces. |

The schools were randomly selected by the Department of Basic Education and participation by teachers, administrative and support staff is voluntary. Approval has been granted that teachers, administrative and support staff may be interviewed by a panel of researchers between 14:00 and 16:00. The duration of the questionnaire will be approximately one hour. |

The programme will take place during the Third Term and a team from HSRC will liaise directly with the school. |
