| REVISED CATERING ARRANGEMENTS FOR ALL USERS OF CAPE TEACHING AND LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE FACILITIES |

The growing demand for venues and accommodation by Western Cape Education Department (WCED) stakeholders has prompted the Directorate: Cape Teaching and Leadership Institute (CTLI) to explore a more effective means of catering for all users. |

We are therefore pleased to announce that with effect from 1 April 2015, a professional catering company will be contracted to provide all meals and refreshments to users of CTLI facilities. This means that users will be obliged to make use of the on-site catering contractor on the transversal contract and no other caterers will be allowed on site. |

On confirmation of a booking at the CTLI, the applicant must communicate their catering needs directly with the contracted caterer. A standard menu will be available to all users and users will be issued with meal coupons which can be exchanged for meals/teas etc. At the end of the intervention, each user will be invoiced by the caterer and payments will be processed through Procurement Management as prescribed. The on-site contractor can also be commissioned to provide departmental catering off-site, without any additional procurement processes. The standard attendance register and certified invoices must be attached to payment advices in all cases. |

Information about the contracted service provider, contact details as well as standard and special menus as specified in the contract specifications will be provided, once the contract has been concluded. |

It is very important that the 30-day deadline for the booking of CTLI venues as well as reservations for catering be adhered to. |

We trust that we can count on the full co-operation of all users and we believe that this new arrangement would be welcomed by all and will contribute significantly to improved efficiency. |
