This minute serves to notify all Community Learning Centres (CLCs) that Western Cape Education Department (WCED) transfer payments into the banking accounts of CLCs will stop on 31 March 2015. |

Currently all CLCs receive quarterly financial allocations paid into their banking accounts. This funding is utilised by centres to remunerate educators and centre managers. |

In terms of the relevant legislation, Adult Education and Training (AET) will be transferred from the WCED to the Department of Higher Education (DHET) on 1 April 2015. |

In light of point 3 above, no further transfers will take place after 31 March 2015. |
| 5. |
As of 1 April 2015, all centre managers and educators will be paid via PERSAL by DHET. |
| 6. |
The WCED will continue to provide CLCs and centre staff with information regarding the transfer of CLCs to DHET as it becomes available. |
