1. The Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS) were implemented in Grade 12 in January 2014.
2. Considering the above, the National Senior Certificate (NSC) supplementary examination in February/March 2014 was the last examination to be conducted in terms of the Subject Statements, Learning Programme Guidelines and Subject Assessment Guidelines.
3. All repeat candidates and part-time candidates enrolling for the 2014 National Senior Certificate examination will have to change from the National Curriculum Statement Grades 10 - 12 as set out in the Subject Statements, Learning Programme Guidelines and Subject Assessment Guidelines, to the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS) Grades R - 12.
4. Examination question papers will not be set in terms of the old Subject Statements, Learning Programme Guidelines and Subject Assessment Guidelines.
5. Principals and education district officials are requested to bring the contents of this minute to the attention of the staff, parents and learners.
