All employees of the Western Cape Education Department are hereby requested to complete the attached certificate, regardless of whether or not they perform remunerative work outside the public service. In this regard you are referred to Human Resource Management Minute 0004/2013. |

It is important that a copy of the attached certificate be completed by each employee and submitted by 28 November 2013. |

District office, school and institution-based employees must submit the completed certificates, via their IMG manager or circuit team manager, to their district director. Alternatively, school principals may upload them onto the Human Capital Leave Management System. |

Head Office employees must submit their certificates to the relevant director. |

Certificates must be submitted by directors to the following address:

Officials above the rank of director must submit their completed certificates directly to the above address. |

Employees whose personal particulars are linked to a private company on the Companies and Intellectual Commission’s register and who are no longer involved in remunerative work outside the public service, are kindly requested to ensure that they are deregistered. |

Failure by an employee to obtain prior permission to perform remunerative work outside the public service will result in the employee being charged with misconduct. |
