1. The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has appointed a service provider, Ernst and Young Advisory Services Ltd, to audit and validate its asset register for mobile units for both public ordinary schools and LSEN schools. This will be done between 11 March 2013 and 30 April 2013.
2. In order for this process to be executed effectively, the WCED kindly requests that schools provide access to the fieldworkers so that they may carry out the audit. It will further be required of principals to sign off the required information as evidence of the visit and to certify the validity of the captured data. Due to the magnitude of the required service, access and availability of the relevant staff may be required outside school hours and even during the school holidays. This will however be arranged prior to such visits. During the visit by the service provider, the school governing body/school must avail the asset register of the school in order for the service provider to verify the existence of donated and/or purchased through own funding mobile units on the asset register.
3. The WCED apologises for any inconvenience caused. We appreciate your assistance in this matter.
