Over the past three terms the monitoring of school improvement through the School Improvement Monitoring Tool (SIM) has yielded useful information and assists the WCED in ensuring relevant support and overall effectiveness. |

The following are the focus areas for Term 4:
- Progress on the SIP
- Workbooks
- Textbooks
- Grades 1 and 9 pass rates
- Management (meetings with parents, planned teaching and support, the pace of curriculum delivery, data management, attendance management)
- Desks and chairs
- Infrastructure
- Financial management
Details of these areas are attached.

The following is the procedure for Term 4: |
| 4.1 |
The monitoring focus items will be provided for sign-off on the CEMIS under "ADMINISTRATION". |
| 4.2 |
The principal will capture responses online. |
| 4.3 |
The IMG managers will make an appointment to discuss the responses, and the completed sheet will be signed by both parties. |
| 4.4 |
The principal will sign off on the CEMIS. |
| 4.5 |
The signed hard copy will be retained by the IMG manager for auditing purposes. A second signed hard copy should be retained by the school principal for the same reason. |
| 4.6 |
The IMG manager will sign off on EduInfoSearch. |
| 5. |
Any queries will be dealt with by the IMG manager. |
| 6. |
