The provincial programme of planned structured quarterly monitoring to be conducted by IMG managers at schools will continue in Terms 3 and 4, as described in Business Strategy and Stakeholder Management Minute 0001/2013. The following focus areas will be monitored:
- Progress on the SIP
- Workbooks
- Textbooks
- Grades 1 and 9 pass rates
- Management (meetings with parents, planned teaching and support, the pace of curriculum delivery, data management, attendance management)
- Desks and chairs
- Infrastructure
- Financial management

The School Improvement Monitoring (SIM) template must be completed each term as follows:

There will be only one sign-off date in Term 4 and not the two originally proposed.

The procedure introduced in Term 2 will be followed in Terms 3 and 4: |
3.1 |
The monitoring focuses (see attached sheet) will be supplied for each quarter in a minute. |
3.2 |
These monitoring focus items will be provided for sign-off on the CEMIS under "ADMINISTRATION".

The principal will capture responses online. |
3.4 |
The IMG managers will make an appointment to discuss the responses and the completed sheet will be signed by both parties. |
3.5 |
The principal will sign off on the CEMIS. |
3.6 |
The signed hard copy will be retained by the IMG manager for auditing purposes. A second signed hard copy should be retained by the school principal for the same reason. |
3.7 |
The IMG manager will sign off on Eduinfosearch. |
4. |
Any queries will be dealt with by the IMG manager. |
