1. Business Strategy and Stakeholder Management Minute 0001/2013 described the planned structured quarterly monitoring to be conducted by IMG managers at schools. The following focus areas were indicated:

  • Progress on the SIP
  • Workbooks
  • Textbooks
  • Grades 1 and 9 pass rates
  • Management (meetings with parents; planned teaching and support; the pace of curriculum delivery; data management; attendance management)
  • Desks and chairs
  • Infrastructure
  • Financial management

The SIM is to be completed each term as follows:

  SIM 4: 2nd submission Fri-29-Nov-13

2. In order to facilitate the monitoring, the following procedure will be adopted in the second, third and fourth terms:
2.1 The monitoring focuses (see attached sheet) will be supplied for each quarter in a minute.
2.2 These monitoring focus items will be provided for sign-off on the CEMIS under "ADMINISTRATION".
2.3 The principal will capture responses online.
2.4 The IMG managers will make an appointment to discuss the responses and the completed sheet will be signed by both parties.
2.5 The principal will sign off on the CEMIS.
2.6 The hard copy will be retained by the IMG Manager for auditing purposes.
2.7 The IMG manager will sign off on Eduinfosearch.

3. Note that the question about textbook orders needs to be read alongside the closing date for orders, which is 14 June. In this case, schools will be permitted to respond "Yes" to the relevant question on the SIM tool, provided that there is a commitment to placing the order before the deadline.

4. Any queries will be dealt with by the IMG manager.
