The annual SNAP Survey of ordinary public schools is one of the most important sources of information about the situation at your school. The information collected will contribute to the Education Management Information System (EMIS) of the province and will be used in the administration and governance of schools, including the supply of resources to schools, particularly staff. |
2. |
The SNAP survey for ordinary public schools must be completed on 24 January 2012. |
3. |
Ordinary public schools must complete the SNAP survey online on the CEMIS or i-SAMS. This requires the principal to ensure that
- all learners registered and attending the school for 2012 appear in their correct classes on the CEMIS or i-SAMS;
- any learner who has not arrived by 24 January 2012 to take up enrolment at your school must be deregistered, as required by the learner attendance policy (The learner can then be reregistered if he or she arrives after 24 January 2012.);
- the capture screens that report the number of staff ot the school are populated accurately; and
- the sign-off section of the survey is completed correctly and timeously.

The SNAP survey data for each school must be signed off by the school's IMG manager or circuit team manager. |

Reminder: The subjects taken by all Grade 12 learners must be checked for correctness by the end of January 2012. The subject change request facility for Grade 12 learners will be available only until the end of January 2012. |
