1. In order to compile a list of movable assets, officials from Supply Chain Management will be visiting all schools which have mobile classrooms.
2. These mobile classrooms will be barcoded and all schools are requested to co-operate by providing access to these mobile classrooms.
3. This exercise will commence on Monday, 17 September 2012 and should be completed by 31 October 2012.
4. Owing to the urgency of the matter, officials from Supply Chain Management will also need access to schools during the period 1 to 5 October 2012, which falls within the school holidays.
5. It is imperative that schools list in their asset registers all units on their premises that do not meet the definition of a mobile unit. The reason for this is that these units will not be reflected in the asset register of the Western Cape Education Department, but still need to be accounted for.
6. Your co-operation will be appreciated.
