As indicated in IMGP Minute 0006/2012, the personal details of all elected or appointed members of new school governing bodies (SGBs) must be captured directly on the CEMIS. The information must be captured after the new SGB’s first meeting. |

Attached is a user’s manual giving the steps to be followed when capturing the said details. Kindly note that the capturing must be done by the administration clerk at the school, and then verified for correctness and signed off on the system by the principal. |

Access to the School Governing Body Database on the CEMIS will be given to the district electoral officer, who will verify the captured information by comparing it with the information provided by the school’s electoral officer after the successful completion of the SGB election. |

The SGB profiles of all public schools must be captured and signed off by 30 May 2012. For assistance in this regard, you may contact Mr Thandiso Pokolo at tel. no. 021 467 2289. |
