The Quality Improvement, Development, Support and Upliftment Programme (QIDS UP) is an initiative aimed at providing resources to no-fee schools in national quintiles 1, 2 and 3 so as to promote effective learning and teaching. |

Through the QIDS UP programme, the WCED has arranged for each learner in the Foundation Phase at Quintile 1 schools to receive a school bag containing stationery. |

These items will be delivered to your school by 2 December 2011. The school is requested to store the bags safely and hand them out to each learner in Grades 1 to 3 on the first day of the first term of 2012. The Mathematics textbook supplied for Grade 1 should also be placed in the appropriate bags. |

The school must use the included checklist to verify whether the bags and stationery have been received in correct quantities and good order. |

The checklist must be signed by the principal and a district official, and stamped with the school stamp, before it is posted to Head Office as confirmation of the satisfactory completion of the delivery.
