The Cape Teaching and Leadership Institute (CTLI) invites all school principals, practising and retired teachers of Grades R to 9, curriculum advisers, and representatives from non-governmental organisations and tertiary institutions to participate in the above-mentioned conference. See paragraph 3.1 for suggestions.

AIMS
The aims of the conference are to share ideas, best practice and experience concerning the creation of a love of reading, different approaches to the teaching of reading, intervention strategies for poor readers and the managing of a reading school.

LOGISTICS
Participants or presenters from the rural districts travelling further than 120 km per return trip may sleep over in the Cape Teaching and Leadership Institute's hostel on Sunday evening, 28 March 2010. Accommodation will be paid for by the Western Cape Education Department (WCED). Travelling costs will not be covered by the WCED.
