NATIONAL SENIOR CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION, NOVEMBER 2009: CHIEF MARKERS' REPORTS


1. The chief markers' reports on candidates' work in the various subjects written in the Western Cape in the 2009 National Senior Certificate (NSC) Examination are available on the Western Cape Education Department's (WCED) Web page at

2. Principals are requested to ensure that:

  • each teacher responsible for the teaching of a Grade 12 examination subject receives a copy of the relevant chief marker's report.
  • each report is studied in conjunction with the examination question paper concerned.
  • a copy of each relevant report is kept at their schools for reference purposes.
3. The WCED wishes all schools well for preparing their learners adequately for the NSC examinations.
