The restructuring of the WCED which came into effect 1 April 2008 has resulted in the creation of new directorates and the re-allocation of functions. These changes have made it necessary to revise the filing requirements of each directorate.

In order to provide for the needs of each directorate and to ensure uniformity, it has become necessary to design a new filing system as soon as possible. Your input is therefore required urgently.

It would be appreciated if you could provide the Record Manager before 6 February 2009 with a list of the subjects of files that should be opened. It will save much time if the descriptions provided can be as descriptive as possible, e.g. Training (CS educators) or Training (non-CS educators). Your input can be directed to Mr I A Opperman via e-mail (iopperman@pgwc.gov.za) or room 6-21, Grand Central Building at Head Office.
