The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) aims to create a working environment that will ensure equal employment opportunities for all our current and future employees. |

Section 25 of the Employment Equity Act of 1998 requires the WCED, as a designated employer, to display the Employment Equity Act at the workplace where it can be read by employees.

Failure to comply with the above-mentioned requirement will result in a non-compliance order being issued against the employer.

All offices and education institutions of the WCED are therefore requested to display the attached poster, summarising the Employment Equity Act, in a prominent place where it will be visible to all employees. |
