The WCED has developed work schedules and teacher's guides for Grades 1 to 6 as a resource for our schools to reinforce teaching, learning and assessment and to help schools to engage with the NCS with greater clarity and confidence.

English versions of these work schedules and teacher's guides have been delivered to schools.

The work schedules have been written to ensure that teachers have a common understanding of the Learning Outcomes and Assessment Standards.

The teacher's guides, which accompany the work schedules, explain the content and suggest teaching methods.

The work schedules and teacher's guides will be mediated with schools in the second term. A web page will also be created to identify and respond to frequently asked questions.

It is our intention to invite feedback from selected schools by July 2009.
|

Work schedules for Grade R and Grades 7 to 9 will be developed in July 2009.
