The Foundations for Learning Campaign, promulgated in March 2008, is aimed at improving learner performance in reading, writing and numeracy in all South African schools. The WCED has, therefore, embarked on a special project to equip schools with wall charts so as to create print-rich classrooms with an atmosphere of learning. The wall chart packs will be provided for Foundation- and Intermediate Phase classrooms (Grades 1 - 6). |

The packs have been compiled by curriculum specialists and contain wall charts related to the different subjects in the curriculum. Schools are requested to complete the attached Addendum A in order to choose a supplier from the current list of WCED-approved book suppliers. (The list of suppliers was sent to schools on 15 July 2009 with Procurement Management Minute 0011/2009.)
