This minute refers to Curriculum GET Minute: DCG 0005/2009, titled 'Intermediate Phase: Mathematics Support Material', which was sent to schools on 5 June 2009. |

All primary schools have already received the CD 'Mathematics Intermediate Phase Resources for Teachers.' In addition, the Afrikaans-medium schools received a printed set of exemplar assessment tasks in Afrikaans for Grades 4 to 6. There is one book per grade. |

This minute serves to inform schools that the English version of the 'Exemplar Assessment Tasks Grades 4 to 6' will be posted to schools this month. (Note: These assessment tasks were provided electronically on the above-mentioned CD.) |

The mathematics curriculum advisers in the districts will assist schools with these assessment tasks. |

If English-medium schools have not received the books by 5 October 2009, they are requested to send an e-mail to lymalan@pgwc.gov.za or a fax, marked Attention: L. Malan, to fax no. 021 467 2620 to inform the WCED that the 3 books have not arrived. |

The WCED hopes that these assessment tasks will be a valuable resource for all Intermediate Phase teachers. |
