Owing to the late completion of the new NCS-aligned HIV/AIDS LTSM and the subsequent translation of this material into all official languages of the province, the HIV/AIDS LTSM will be delivered late. We apologise for the inconvenience. Delivery to schools is expected to take place from May to July 2009 - except for Grades 10 to 12 LTSM, which will be delivered to schools in April 2009.

Teachers of Life Orientation affected by these delays are requested to adjust their schedules accordingly.

Schools still carrying stock from the previous year are requested to donate their surplus materials to schools experiencing a shortage. Kindly contact the HIV/AIDS co-ordinator at your education district office if assistance is required in donating stock.

Please note that the HIV/AIDS LTSM to be delivered is additional material at no cost to schools. Teachers are encouraged to adapt this material to suit their learners' needs.

Principals are requested to bring the contents of this minute to the attention of the school HIV/AIDS co-ordinator and teachers of Life Orientation.
